Just want to share that we do have difficulty adding content to this site. Pictures of Van Eno’s paintings are submitted by collectors of his art. We do post pictures of Van’s art whenever shared. If not, this site will just sit. And we don’t want to bore you with other non-VanEno related content.

Still a long road before breaking 100,000 - but heading in the right direction.

My suggestion as to how to continue lowering your Alexa Ranking is to devote 50% of your time blogging and the other 50% of your time to marketing. I would estimate that I spend a total of 3 hours per week blogging on this site (you still want to have a personal life) - 1.5 hours to update a new blog and the other 1.5 hours spend marketing (primarily on Entrecard). The estimated 1.5 marketing hours is spread out for the week. I don’t drop everyday nor do I drop 300 everyday (I drop in the neighborhood of 30 to 100 per login).

Why do I add information about Entrecard (when Entrecard has nothing to do with Van Eno or Art)? Entrecard is a community of Bloggers (such as mine) that likes to share fun facts, information or just trivial stuff with each other. We display some internet respect and courtesy by acknowledging the top 10 people who visited each others sites. It seems to be the Entrecard community culture and it is fun and exciting to see your site listed on someone elses blog. It is also a plus to hyperlink from your blog to theirs.

Alexa provides information on web traffic of your website. It computes your traffic ranking by analyzing the Web usage of millions of Alexa toolbar and data obtained from other diverse traffic data sources.

The traffic rank is based on 3 months of aggregated historical traffic and is a combined measure of page views and users. The main Alexa traffic rank is based on a value derived from these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users). The three-month change is determined by comparing the site’s current rank with its rank from three months ago. For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter.

So - I started tracking my Alexa rank since re-launching this site. In order to have a traffic linegraph, my site has to reach below 100,000 (I am heading in the right direction). The first few weeks after my re-launch, there was no ranking. But on:
